Do not underestimate the power of a classified ad. They can give your business access to a new wider market. Classifieds are general not expensive, some of them are even free. They offer you an easy and fast way to promote your products or services.

Here is a list to consider when submitting an classified ad.

Title of Your Classified Ad

This is the first thing that people see. If you do not have a good one, they just jump to the next one. A good title should have as much keywords as possible. If you are selling a digital camera then put the words digital camera on the title. That
way people know exactly what you are promoting. You can also add words like best, top, guarantee. This will enhance your title. If you are looking for a more emotive kind of title you can choose words like feel or enjoy.

Price of Your Product or Service

If your price is better than the competition then you should put the exact price. On the other hand, if your price is higher than competition because has high quality or for some other reason you should the price range or give clues about the price.

If you have any special offers of discounts talk about it.

Description of Your Product or Service

Your description should be short, clear and to the point. Remember that you are advertising on internet, so if your description is boring they simply click away. The only reason to make a long description is if you want to talk about the benefits or characteristics of your product or service. After you done, read your description. See if it is not boring or anything. If it is, change it.

Photo of What You Are Promoting

When possible, you should upload a photo. That will put a picture on your reader´s mind. This image can make the difference

between a sale or a click away. Look a a eye catching image with good quality. Hope this could help you somehow. until next time. Take care.

Using Color To Attract Certain Types Of Customers |

January 20th, 2010

Author: Kris Ann

When you are planning out your advertising you need to think of all sorts of different and creative ways to attract the people that you want. There are many steps to customizing your promotional products and one that you might be stumped with is what colors to use on your products. You want to make something that is attractive to the type of person that you think will most likely spend time and money with your business.

Not too long ago a company that is based in Illinois studied the effects that color had on different groups of people. They wanted to study what different demographics were attracted too. What they found out was interesting. There are 3 different types of people when it comes to color attraction and acceptance.

Color forward people are fans of all things in innovative color schemes. If it looks different, then they want it, even if they have no use for the actual item. These are city dwellers that are usually under 30 years old that usually earning less than $35000. This group also includes women that are past the age of 50.

COLOR CAREFUL – These people only want to try colors that they have seen others using. They would much prefer a quality item over choosing it just based on color. People who fit into this category are usually prudent shoppers, those who make more than $50,000 per year, people living in the suburbs, and men and women between the ages of 30 – 50.

Men that are over 60 are not likely to want to see your company switching colors from what they are used to. They don’t like it when anything get freshened up and renewed. In this particular group of people you will see any age people that don’t like to shop. They are people that make different amounts of money and they don’t like change. Knowing what these and other people are attracted to will help you make your advertising and promotional products more successful.

What About Ezine Advertising? |

January 20th, 2010

Author: Donald N Lombardi

Ezines are sometimes called ‘opt-in’ lists because everyone who receives an ezine has chosen to do so.  And that is why ezine advertising gets results.  Folks read ezines and they will read your ad.  And if you have matched the ezine to the product you are selling, you have reached your target audience.

There are currently around 90,000 ezines being published every month.  So whatever you are selling, there is more than likely an ezine that will take your ad straight to the audience you want to reach.

Ezine advertising is not only effective, it is affordable as well.  A 5 line ad in an ezine that goes to 3000 people will cost you between $5 and $20 per issue.  As a general rule, you’ll always get back at least the cost of the ad, and usually much more.  So there’s very little risk.  However, there are some tips for successful ezine advertising.  Here they are:

1. The first and most important rule is: “Track your Ads!”  Say you place an ad in 5 different ezines and get a hundred responses.  If you do not track your ads, you will not know which ezines were pulling responses and which were not.  When you get a reply with ‘ezineA’ in the subject field, you will know which ezine it came from.  For a URL, it’s the same principle:  However, if you’re going to code your URLs, you will need a good webstats program to track the coded URLs.

2. Target your audience.  It may seem obvious but some advertisers overlook this.  If you are selling a web-marketing course, don’t advertise in an ezine that deals with stock options; they probably will not be interested.  Use the ’subject categories’ in any ezine directory to find ezines that relate to the product you are selling.  You can find a list of 56 ezine directories in ‘The Free Directory of Ezines’.

3. Once you’ve chosen a number of ezines that target your audience, subscribe to them and examine the ads closely.  If you see an ad that keeps repeating issue after issue, you can be pretty sure that it is getting results. You have found a good ezine to advertise in.

4. Check to see how many ads are in the ezine.  You probably will not get much response from an ad in an ezine that has 15 or 20 ads per issue.  Readers of those ezines have become hardened to the ads and have learnt to skip them.

5. Check to see if the ezine publisher has a policy of never running ads for two similar products in the same issue – your ad will be much more effective if it is the only one of its kind in that particular issue.

6. Small ezines Vs. Big ezines: bigger is not always better. The big ezines with 1000’s of subscribers tend to have more ads than the small ezines.  Also, small ezines with only a few hundred subscribers often have a much more targeted audience than the big ezines.

7. Repeat your ads.  Research shows that off the Web, an ad has to be seen about 21 times before someone acts on it; on the Internet it is about 9 times. If your budget allows, try and have your ad repeated at least three times in a particular ezine.  Most ezines offer discount packages for bulk advertising.

8. Email address Vs. URL.  The advantage of giving an email address is that it gives you the opportunity to send a powerful sales letter to the person who responded to your ad.  It is also much easier to track your ads with an email address than a URL.

9. Offer something free in your ad copy.  It will often tip the balance between a response and no response.

10. Keep your ads short, even if you’re not using the number of words you are allowed.  Short ads are more likely to be read.  Keep your sentences short too; they pack much more power.  Use the word ‘You’.  Do not describe your product but tell the reader what your product can do for them.

Good Luck!

A Message That Is On-Target |

January 20th, 2010

Author: Andrew

There’s this lady who has a nail salon that looks anything but a salon. You see, her nail salon looks more like a cross between a thrift shop, a piano bar and a snack shop with mementos of the early 60’s. Sometimes, it was even mistaken for a small museum of some sorts for The King, what with the huge cardboard stand of Elvis Presley and a jukebox playing his records all day long.

And when you ask the owner of the nail salon how’s business doing, she’ll often tell you that it could have been better.

It’s actually no surprise that the business owner is having a hard time getting more than her regular customers in her door. Business is not much because the owner is actually not getting through to potential clients.

The reason why this is so? Because the potential clients just don’t get it. They don’t get what the business is really all about. Is it a snack bar? Is it an Elvis Presley museum? If not for the big signage on top saying that it’s a nail salon, you wouldn’t even know it.

The message is so muddled with the image of the salon that many people just pass by without even knowing the services that the owner is selling. It’s what you can call a confused sales message. If the nail salon would ever pick up more clients, it has to do an overhaul with its appearance. Its image is conveying a totally different message.

It’s the oldest advice in the book of marketing – when you have a business, make sure that your message is on-target. Not only should your message be the right one, but it should be on-target that it conveys the right meaning to your target clients.

That means then that everything about you and your business should scream what you want to say to your clients and prospects. Whatever your business, your message should always be in tune with all the elements that are in your business – e.g. your marketing collaterals such as your flyer printing or print flyers, your façade, your signage, the décor inside your shop, even the way you dress. Everything should be able to drive your point to your target clients.

The key is to make your message on-target. Make it crystal clear what you have to say. Don’t make it difficult and even impossible for your target clients to get it. Because if they don’t get it, then they won’t get you to provide them with the solution to their needs and wants.

5 Tips to Getting Your Website in Shape for the New Year |

January 20th, 2010

Author: Mike Roft

If you’re a small business, then by now you should know the importance of having a website. Nowadays, when a potential client hears of your business, the first thing they are going to do when they get home, or when they pick up their phone, is to look up your company on the web.

If you don’t show up in their searches, you are going to lose a huge amount of credibility and probably lose the sale. But it doesn’t stop there. If your site isn’t professional looking, if it doesn’t reflect your brand and company image, and if it doesn’t have anything for the visitor to do, you might as well forget about the sale.

It used to be that having a website was enough to prove that you are a reputable company, but with the competition on the web as fierce as it is, your website needs to be more than that now. It needs to function as a multi-level marketing tool for your business.

With 2009 coming to a close, now is a great time to take a step back and look at your website to see if it really measures up.

Here are a couple of questions you need to ask yourself to help you get your website in shape for the New Year:

1. How does your client contact you? Can they find your phone number quickly and easily? Take a look at your homepage. Where is your phone number? If you can’t spot it right away, then you need to get it in plain sight right now. Don’t make it hard for your potential clients to call you!

2. What does your business do? This may sound like a no brainer, but you’d be surprised at how many people will look at a site and just don’t get what the business is selling. Your clients aren’t going to take the time to figure it out. They are going to move along to your competition. During the holiday parties, pull up your site. Ask people to look at the site for 10 seconds. Then ask them to tell you what the company does. If they don’t get it right… it’s time to rethink your design and copy.

3. Does your design give off the image you want it to? Are you a professional company that wants to communicate strength and reliability? Does your website say that about you? Take a moment to come up with a few key phrases that you want people to think of when they look at your company’s website. Now ask a few people to look at your site and come up with their own phrases or descriptions. If the two aren’t even remotely similar… it’s time to get your website design back on the right track.

4. Can you easily navigate your site to find everything? If your site is confusing and hard to find what you are looking for, then you’re going to have a problem. Start off by asking yourself who is going to use this site. Is it potential clients? If so, then the design and copy of your site needs to cater to their needs. If your site is for current clients, then the message needs to change. If both will be looking at your site, then it’s time to consider separating the two. Have a section of your site devoted to your current clients. Place this navigation on your homepage so they know exactly where to go.

5. Are there clear call-to-actions? Ok, so I’m on your site. What now? Where do I go? What do I do? Give your visitors something to do. Tell them to call you for a quote. Or fill out a form. Again, don’t make it difficult for your visitors to get through to you.

With the New Year coming up, it’s important that you take the time to revisit your website design and copy to make sure you are making the right impression on your customers. Sites like www.prova.fm offer quality and affordable ways to hire a website designer who can help you achieve your new look. The company allows web designers to bid on your project with actual designs for you to choose from. You don’t pay unless you select a web designer. These kinds of companies are making it extremely reasonable for small businesses to get quality website design.

The RIGHT VOICE will make you money!! |

January 20th, 2010

Author: Bryan Cox

Your advertising can LIVE. Now’s the time for fresh new approch. The Voice over is the part of a TV show, Commercial etc where you hear just the voice of the narrator or announcer. People retain 81 % of what they hear from a professional voice over artist as compared to only 35% from a regular person doing the voice over. You’ve all heard the owner of a business doing his own ads. 98% are pretty bad. The trend today is to have a professional voice over person sound like a regular person. That way marketing and ad agencies figure you have all bases covered. This kind of ad can almost sound phoney too and that’s because of the script. The writers don’t normally write for the voice and personality, they write to time like 15, 30 sec. Believe me they try to fit in as much as they can in that time. Thus the script doesn’t sound natural.

As a client you want the best writing, voice and production and you don’t want to pay a fortune for all three. Rule of thumb if you’re a client, less is more when it comes to writing, try to have one big idea per commercial. When Ford advertises about a truck, the commercial is about a truck and not about the whole line of Ford vehicles. The voice need to pay for is one that isn’t heard in your market place. Don’t use a voice from the local radio station. Chances are that that voice is already on dozens of commercials. Remember a different voice makes your spot different and that means it’ll stand out from the others. Once you’ve hired the voice, they can usually do all the production for you and do it well. That voice will even email the spot to any station you’d like too. Some good places to hire a professional voices that have state of the art production studios is..

Bluetooth headsets play an important role for us |

January 20th, 2010

Author: mybagshops

With the development of the high technology, an endless stream of new high-tech products, our lives are becoming more and more convenient. Now, just have a look of the communication gear, the appearance of the bluetooth headsets indeed make the communication a great progress. With a Bluetooth headset, a user could not only listen to music but also switches over to cell phone, which will be notified when a call comes in. The phone disconnects when the call ends, resuming the music automatically.

Bluetooth headset uses Audio IQ technology, which makes the call crisp and clear. Bluetooth headset also has the ability to transfer calls from the headset to the phone and vice versa, has a voice dial support, has a battery indicator and it can be combined with other Bluetooth devices which is feasible due to the multi point technology. Now there are Bluetooth headsets available that beep when they are out of Bluetooth range.

Therefore with a little investigation and comparison between the various features, a good quality Bluetooth headset can be bought at an affordable price. Bluetooth headsets and stereo headphones are very popular among consumers as well as manufacturers because they give a high quality digital music from home stereo, computer, cell phone, iPod, laptop and other Bluetooth supported devices without the connection of any cables. Certain companies draw a thin line of distinction between a headset and a stereo headphone.

There are two types of earpiece covers; one is like foam and the other like a cushioned doughnut. Now there are new models of headsets which weigh as light as 10 grams coming with a mini USB plug attached directly to the headset and can pair with up to three devices at a time. The operation is so simple that a single button is used to manage calls with up and down volume toggles.

Generally, headphones have speakers covering the whole ear whereas headsets have a speaker positioned on the outside of the ear. Headphones have two speakers while headsets have only one speaker covering the ear. Older versions of Bluetooth stereo headphones do not support cell phone, and hands free communication while newer stereo headphones do support these features. Usually, Bluetooth headsets offer 12 hours of talk time and 10 hours of listening time and the price ranges from 30 to 300 dollars. The connectivity range of a Bluetooth device is 33 feet.

On all accounts, bluetooth indeed play an important role in daily life. Warm Tips: if you are a man who need drive day long, then a set of the advanced Bluetooth headsets is absolutely essential to keep your safety.
