If you believe that you are an important person, this will rub off on other people too.

The first step is not to care what others think of you. If you do this right, most of them will be too worried about what you think of them to concentrate on judging you anyways when you are trying to pick up girls.
2. Develop Routines One of the best things that you can do when you are learning to pick up women is to develop some canned material that you can use at the drop of a hat. Of course, this gets old after awhile and you should learn how to be spontaneous, but if you have a rehearsed set of lines in your back pocket, you’ll have more confidence that you won’t be miserably shot down.
These should be really simple topics of discussion. Keep the questions open-ended, so that the girl can’t just give you a one word answer like “yes” or “no.” One of my favorites to use is the “Who lies more- men or women?” opener, which can be a great conversation starter. Girls love to talk about these types of things, so try to develop more topics like it and you’ll be in deep conversations in no time.
3. Embrace Failure The last thin that you need to do when you are trying to pick up girls is to embrace the fact that you will fail every once in awhile. Don’t take it personally. It might not even be your fault! The girl could have just gotten married, got a boyfriend, got fired from her job, found out her grandmother died, or is just having a bad day. Embrace the failure and move on. The worst thing that could happen is that you learn something, which will be useful for your next pickup attempt. So don’t be afraid to fail when attempting to pick up girls- it happens to everyone!
