3 Stunning Honeymoons For Winter Brides |

January 24th, 2010

Author: Sarah James

While it may be true that most couples think their honeymoon destinations should revolve around amazing beachfront properties and sun soaked afternoons, there are also a growing number of newlyweds turning to the great outdoors and snowy winter retreats to find love and romance.

The cozy atmosphere of being indoors while the weather rages on outside can be a license for closeness that a tropical paradise can be hard pressed to compete with.

All of the places that will be listed below offer a great deal of fun in the snow covered mountains and include things such as skiing, snow-boarding, dog sledding, cross country, as well as hiking and horse back riding.

In addition, all of the places share a mountain type lodge with the exception of the last one which offers the highly romantic warm hearth to snuggle up to a loved one and revel in the simple fantasy of being together.

Quebec in Canada is the first place on the list of winter paradise destinations.

The shopping, cuisine and overall surroundings of this vibrant town have lead to it being dubbed the Paris of North America.

The Auberge Le Vincent has suites that offer a flat screen, goose down duvets, and 400 thread count sheets to enhance a honeymoon.

The service at this resort is highly specialized as only ten rooms are even available for booking. If the outdoor activities and indoor amenities aren’t enough, couples can take an excursion to a winter play world known as the Valcartier Vacation Village.

The second place on our list of stunning winter wonderland honeymoon retreats is Aspen, Colorado.

It’s also a hot spot for many celebrities as they choose it to get away from the paparazzi.

The St Regis Aspen Resort looks as though it was pulled straight out of a scene from the popular smash hit movie The Polar Express.

It lights up the night sky with its classic upscale elegance, and allows couples to relax in the heated outdoor courtyard pool, or see a full meal being prepared in the exhibition kitchen. The spa boasts 20,000 square feet of luxury that allows newlyweds to indulge in all of the basic services, and if that’s not enough, there are the vapor caves, and a waterfall room to practice an hour of meditative yoga in.

The final place we are going to look at is definately not for couples working on a tight budget. It sits in a small town in Sweden called Jukkasjarvi which is just 160 miles from the Arctic Circle.

In fact, one of the best ways to get to one of the most incredible hotels in the world is by an 8 mile ride on a dog sled from the tee tiny airport.

The Kuruna’s Ice Hotel is a serious ice castle that is built each year beginning in October by the Sami tribe in the area using 10,000 tons of ice and 30,000 tons of snow.

By December the exterior is finished and the interior work can begin. Of the 50 rooms and 5,000 square feet of total accommodations, an international artist completely designs each room from scratch each year.

The use of color plays a role with gentle hues enhancing designs that are simply lit by tall pillar-like candles that make the ice glow from within.

Guests enter the personalized space through reindeer skin covered doors, to a magical surreal enclosure that is sure to inspire awe and romance just by its own unique flair.

Newlyweds tend to only stay one night in the ice castle and then two or more nights in one of the bugalows occupying the Scandinavian territory.

The locals that spend their time each year creating the ice hotel often say that the location makes for such powerful and visual Northern Lights that they can actually be heard as well as seen.

If that doesn’t work to bring a couple the most off the wall one of a kind honeymoon getaway that will inspire memories for years to come, nothing will.

Although most honeymoons consist of lying on the white sandy beaches somewhere while sipping a tropical drink, some honeymoons are meant to be different, and that’s where the wonder of the winter landscape comes into play.

Depending upon the budget, there are so many amazing places that allow for outdoor adventure and indoor intimacy, a little research and a good pair of long johns should set the stage for a stunning honeymoon adventure.

Ideas For a Cheap Honeymoon |

January 14th, 2010

Author: Bill Shdjov

Apparently everyone weds and desires to have the best honeymoons ever no matter their financial aptitudes and this can happen. Even as money is the ticket to a luxurious experience people who do not have much should plan a cheap honeymoon that is within their financial limits. See, the guests offer all sorts of gifts including money but those who do not have a strong financial base realize that weddings and honeymoons happen once and life continues as usual.

As a result they may want to save up a share of everything since weddings do sweep many bank accounts. Planning an inexpensive honeymoon means looking for alternatives to the elements that otherwise inflate the budget in a way not desired. Couples at all times know of their financial situation before tying the knot and it is still the ideal time to start organizing the honeymoon.

In fact the easiest and the most traditional method that could potentially raise money for a couples honeymoon is signing up a registry and select all the custom gifts that should make up a wish list. The guests that purchase those gifts stand for the cost of honeymoon and the couples can save up the money they intended to use for that.

Be careful when selecting those registries because the owners still want a share of the proceeds and no one would like that to be too much if the point is a cheap honeymoon. The other point that may make this possible is checking on budget and by a simple research online it is easy to find tips on how to spend while saving such as travel plan worksheets.

This should help because when booking for the flights, cruises, hotels and other fun ideas for honeymoon the pricing of each is considered and in the end a cheaper deal is intended. Needless to mention, travel by air may be luxurious but not always cheap in comparison to a cruise by ship to the Caribbean or wherever else. Additionally it is easy to capture the beauty of places at the sea using binoculars, cameras and other latest photographing devices.

Another advantage with the cruises is the fact that the couple can choose to spend more days in the water or touring the mainland depending on the selected destination such as the aforementioned. Cruises are some of the best cheap honeymoon ideas that can bring down the transport costs and still enable the couples to get to the same destinations as those that prefer travel by air.

Trace cruises that are exclusively for the lovebirds and their packages too specially for the upcoming summer 2010 weddings and honeymoons. Always make sure to find cheap deals for hotels, airlines, and cruises from the incoming brands in the travel industry that are willing to offer incomparable services at best pricing.

It could even be cheaper to take off to some place in Europe or wherever by flight and spend just two fun days in a new continent and country instead of spending a whole month near. Moreover the couples should also try to fix weddings and honeymoons during the seasons of the year when they can really enjoy.

The Top Honeymoon Destinations to Select |

January 1st, 2010

Author: James Hjakdie

Every travel agency website lists its own selection of top honeymoon destinations depending on which country it is based yet there are some of those sophisticated places that come first for each one of them. That is because over the years couples and people on vacation flock there and do not show any sign of loosing interest in doing that meaning there must be something special they find there.

However, it is a couple that decides the reasons they make one or two of these destinations a winner having taken time to read and understand the provisions of each. Additionally, even as it is difficult to select one destination while foregoing the elegance and comfort of the other the available budget affects that greatly.

For instance couples in the USA may not want to head far Europe if they can save up cash in the Caribbean or Alaska. That is of course if they intend to be savvy on the budget and do not want to start their lives together in debts since there is a high probability of that happening without proper planning.

On the other hand if that is not an issue the couple can in fact travel around the world to the most exciting tourist destinations while leveraging on the long periods in privacy that facilitates. So who is marrying or honeymooning soon? The fact of the matter is these events happen everyday and while the majority of couples adore summer for most of their vacation days some wont allow the winter weather challenges now affect their desire to be just alone.

The following leading honeymoon destinations are wonderful for everyone. One of those is the island of Hawaii, the fiftieth State of the USA and home for wonderful cultures, elegant beaches such s Hanalei, features like cliffs, waterfalls and ridges and of course a beautiful sunset. The lovers this time need only see such natural attractions something that can easily happen in Hawaii because it is also a very popular destination during summer for shopping and fun.

If not this one the couple can search information about the attractive honeymoon spots in Mexico such as the resorts especially those located along Baja coast. It is also a great opportunity to visit the historic Oaxaca valley associated with the famed Mayans among other fabulous features. If newlyweds do not want to travel away from the US, they could choose to go to Bahamas because it is close and has attractive white sandy beaches.

The accommodation is not at all a problem because it has a wealth of perfect hotels that suits all budget levels. Another ideal destination for honeymoons is the island of Dominican Republic and the main reason why is the fact that the services are very reasonably priced for everyone in need of touring stylishly and their budget is a constraint.

Everything about this rather big island is perfect and there is much to experience and learn from there just like in Tahiti. Just search online for Bora Bora island and see how many people describe it as blissful and therefore a number one choice for their honeymoons. Tahiti has a couple of other pretty islands with really friendly natives living there.

Cottar’s Safari Camp is situated in an untouched, exclusive concession to the south east of Masai Mara, Kenya bordering the Serengeti and Loliondo reserves. Providing a guarantee of privacy and an abundance of wildlife, this 1920’s camp experience returns to the original spirit and essence of ’safari’ reminiscent of a golden bygone era; an era of romance, adventure and elegance.

Cottar Safari Camp tradition began in 1919. Eighty years on, we continue to provide an unparalleled tented safari camp experience to discerning clients in Africa. Extending an era of luxury and quality, Cottars Safari Hotel Service returns to the original spirit and essence of ’safari’, reminiscent of a golden era – an era of romance, professional guiding, adventure and elegance.

Calvin and Louise Cottar resides at the camp and are complimented by highly experienced and knowledgeable guides. African Safaris and Adventures will take you on walks through the bush to experience close encounters with wildlife. Being close to the border with the Serengeti, the spectacular wildebeest migration moves through this area every year and prolific game viewing is guaranteed whether on foot or in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. For those who find themselves hooked on Africa, there comes a time when they want something different, something remote and wild

The Cottar’s 1920’s Safari Camp is situated in our extensive and exclusive concession between the Maasai Mara, Serengeti and Loliondo reserves where a few Purko Maasai clan roam. This area has been untouched by any kind of tourism or development and offers the discerning client a guarantee of privacy.

Most importantly, while the Mara has a reputation of being over congested with mass tourism, Cottar’s have kept the secret of our area for years – no hot air balloons flying overhead, no minibuses buzzing around, no nearby lodges or low flying aircraft to disturb your special moments. The area is more akin to being in the expansive Serengeti National Park, but with the advantage of ‘off the road’ driving due to the very low vehicle density of the area, and the fact that we can walk and operate ‘night drive’ activities in our community concession.

Cottar’s safari Camp Hotel Accommodation: The camp accommodates up to 16 guests in authentic, spacious white canvas tents. The camp has 6 1920s style en suite white tents, and 4 family tents – each with 2 en suite bedrooms and a shared sitting room, a canopied verandah and carefully arranged to ensure privacy. Each tent is luxuriously furnished with safari antiques from the 1920’s, private ensuite dressing rooms/bathrooms, showers and flush toilets. The camp is equipped with a tented library/reading room and the cuisine and silver service is of the highest standard to be found in the bush. Each tent has its own private butler.

Cottar’s safari camp Activities: As our concession is outside the game parks, therefore guided walks and night drives are allowed and highly recommended. By walking, guests can get that much closer to nature, and if an opportunity to track wild game presents itself, our trained trackers will take guests even closer still. On a more self-indulgent note, our masseuse will now be based full-time at the camp for complimentary massages, manicures and pedicures. Any other needs that guests may have will be met by butlers who have been trained to provide guests with discreet, yet attentive service.

Facilities:

The camp is equipped with great facilities and the cuisine and silver service is of the highest standard to be found in the bush. These facilities include:

1. Bush Meals

2. Soft drinks, beer, house wines and non-luxury spirits

3. Swimming pool

4. Sundowners

5. Massage

6. Tented reading room/ Library

7. Laundry service

Kenya Holiday: Beach Holidays in Kenya 2009

Kenya and other locations in East Africa, like Zanzibar Island truly has some of the worlds best beaches. In Kenya, they have mile upon mile of sunny, tropical sandy beaches, clear warm waters and all year round good weather and blue skies, perfect for a beach holiday.

Most of the exotic beaches in Kenya have a reef that protects them, this is not only great for snorkeling and scuba diving, but is superb for swimming, there are also luxury beach hotels in Kenya, ranging from 5 star hotels to private beach villas, to Kenya beach resorts, self catering cottages and apartments. This along with the fact that the cheap package holiday market has really brought down the prices of holidays as well as cheap flights to Kenya makes a Kenya beach holiday the perfect summer and winter sun holiday destination.

Kenyan Beaches, North of Mombasa

Just north of Mombassa is where you find the most popular Kenya beaches resorts and hotels and villas. The beaches include Nyali beach, Bamburi beach, Shanzu beach, Kilifi beach and Kikambala beach. Along this stretch of Kenya coast you find many of Kenya’s best beach hotels and generally the further north you go, the less dense the hotels get an important consideration if you are looking to get away from it all. As with many resort areas, besides the beach related activities, like water sports, fishing and scuba diving, there are also other activities on offer ranging from nature trails to golf.

Kenyan Beaches, South of Mombasa

In general, the coast south of Mombasa is quieter than the northern beaches; this is partly because to get to the southern Kenyan coast from Mombasa, you will take the Likoni Ferry that crosses the Kilindini harbour. The two double ended ferries alternate across the harbour and carry both people on foot and vehicles. This is usually a pretty colourful experience with plenty of noise of the locals going about their daily business.

Popular beaches in the south include Diani, Tiwi and Gazi that go right up to the Pemba area. The accommodation on the southern coast varies from hotels to private beach villas and cottages.

Kenya Beach Holidays

Pinewood Village Beach Resort – Perfect for those looking to get away from it all, Pinewood Village Beach Resort is ideally situated on the quiet and shores of Galu Beach, one of the finest beaches in Kenya, south of Mombasa.

The luxury Pinewood Village Beach Resort is a small relaxed and informal hotel and prides itself on giving it’s guests the personal touch. The holiday price includes: Flights, transfers and accommodation for 7 nights on a Half Board basis including a complimentary upgrade to Full Board.

Flamingo Beach Hotel Kenya

The Flamingo Beach Hotel is located at Shanzu Beach, about 20kms north of Mombasa. The Flamingo Beach Hotel has two swimming pools, tennis courts, massage facilities and internet access. All rooms come with air conditioning and a large terrace or balcony with table and chairs.

The Flamingo Beach Hotel has 138 rooms that are located in six separate four story buildings that surround the huge lagoon shaped swimming pool and palm shaded gardens.

Safari Excursions

Through the hotel, you can arrange to go on one, two, four or even six night safaris at an extra cost. As an example, if you choose the Masai Safari, you will stay out on safari for 2 nights. This safari will take you by air to the Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary, where the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro provide the only water source for miles and the natural springs are home to a wide variety of bird and wildlife.

Day 1: In the morning you fly from Bamburi airstrip to the Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary. After lunch at the camp, you set off on your first game drive. Keep a look out for a wide variety of animals in this well-populated reserve.

Day 2: There is an early morning game drive and, after breakfast, a further game drive gives you the last opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of the ever-changing landscapes of Kimana. After lunch at the camp, you fly back to Bamburi arriving at your hotel in time for dinner.

Kenya Holidays Information Guide

A Kenya holiday gives you the exclusive chance to merge the total relaxation of a beach holiday vacation with a true Kenya wildlife safari tour. The commencement of cheap safari holiday packages to the Kenya coast of Mombassa, Malindi, Watamu, and Lamu Island has in fact brought down the prices of traveling to Kenya and most of the wholesale package tour operators, safari company and travel agents in the Europe, Japan and America now offer packaged travel holidays to Kenya. This is great news for those searching for perfect beach holiday and adventure safaris in Kenya sun vacation destination.

It also means that you can take advantage of the cheap tours to Kenya and go on a Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo safari holiday as an excursion from the beach. What many travelers especially from Australia and Canada have done in the past is to book a beach package holiday in Kenya, taking advantage of the cheap flights and hotel resorts , villas in Mombassa and then sign up for a few days to travel on Safari in Kenya

How to Perfect Kenya Holiday

? Step 1: Book a Package Holiday to the Beach

? Step 2: Book your Safari Holiday

There will of course be travel companies, tour operators and safari agencies that will book both your beach and safari holiday under one package, this can take away some of the work involved, just be sure that you are getting a good holiday deal.

Step 1: Package Holiday on the Beach in Kenya

Research and book a cheap package holiday on the beach in Kenya .Kenya has some of the best beaches in the world, with popular beach holiday destinations that include Malindi, Diani and Mombasa. The Kenya coastline is out of this world; with bone-white sands, crystal clear waters and coral reefs that make Kenya is a great place to Scuba Dive as well as to laze on the beach. The historical city of Mombassa consists of a maze of narrow streets, a busy port, the historical Fort Jesus, some incredible mosques as well as some great places to eat including a range of Italian, European, Asian and Swahili restaurants.

Step 2: Kenya Safari Holiday

Research and book a Kenya safari holiday for a few days either before, during or after your beach holiday. Kenya must surely be the home of the safari, in fact it could be argued that the safari was born in Kenya as the word ’safari’ is a Swahili word that means a journey. (Swahili people come from Kenya, Tanzania and northern Mozambique).

Kenya has a vast array of national parks with pretty much every wildlife that you could ever hope to see as well as Africa’s single most famous safari draw, the annual Great Migration safari that happens between September and October every year as the vast herds of wildebeest travel between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara park reserve which takes its name from nomadic Masai people, who wander as freely across the Kenya-Tanzania border with their cattle.

If you book your safari holiday, whilst you are still at the coast, make sure that you either have transport or if you can be collected. Most organized safaris in Kenya leave from Nairobi, but there are ones that will collect you from Mombasa or even right from your hotel.

Illustration of a Kenya Holiday Safari

The Masai Mara safari Adventure safari below is great for combining with a beach holiday on the Kenya coast and can be booked from African safaris and Adventures. It is fairly short, only lasting three days and starts and leaves from Nairobi. So you could organize to go on it before or after your trip to Mombasa and the coast.

Masai Mara Safari Adventure

This safari will take you through the Great Rift Valley on to a tented camp in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara reserve. You will get to explore the diverse wildlife, crossing rolling plains spotted with famous acacia trees. Your game viewing drives are spread out over all three days, with excellent chances of seeing the “Big 5″ – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. The varied wildlife and natural environment, in addition to the colours and culture of the local Masai people, come together to provide a spectacular safari experience.

Day 1: Nairobi to the Masai Mara Game Reserve

pick up from Nairobi or Mombassa hotel resort and travel through the Great Rift Valley on to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. In the afternoon you can go on vacation safari, through the vast open plains and flat-topped acacia trees, and keep your eyes peeled for some rare wildlife, such as the rhino or the elusive leopard.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will spend the day on safari in search of the park’s large populations of wildebeest, buffalo, lion, elephants, and giraffes. Marvel at gazelles, impala, and ostrich from wonderful vistas along the Esoit Oloololo Escarpment. Later you stop at a traditional Masai village for an optional visit to learn about the local Masai culture.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve and Nairobi

Go for an early morning game drive and watch the sun as it rises over the savannah of the “Mara”. In the late afternoon, you will return to Nairobi where your safari ends.

Illustration a Kenya Beach Holiday

The beach package holiday at the Dolphin Hotel in Mombasa below is a perfect example of a holiday in Kenya and I found it by searching African safaris and Adventures holidays in Kenya. For 14 nights, full board. There are also safari options available at an aditional cost.

Dolphin Hotel Beach Holiday in Kenya

The Dolphin Hotel is located on the glorious Shanzu Beach and is 20kms north of Mombasa. Transfer time is approximately 30 minutes from Mombasa Airport.

The Dolphin beach hotel has 107 air-conditioned rooms are arranged in seven separate two storey buildings. Most have wonderful views over the gardens and Indian Ocean, although views of the ocean can be interrupted by the lush foliage!

The Safari Options include One, Two, Four or Six Night safaris and as an example, the Red Elephant Safari lasts for 1 night. You will tour Tsavo East game reserve where you will sleep under canvas at the Crocodile Camp this safari is for those with a true sense of adventure.

Day 1: In the morning, you fly from Bamburi airstrip to the Crocodile Camp. On arrival a full-day game drive begins and enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush. Look out for zebra, antelope, buffalo, giraffe and the famous ‘Red Elephant’, the effect created by the vivid colour of the earth. Stay overnight at the romantic Crocodile Camp

Day 2: After an early breakfast, you start your game drive through Tsavo East when the animals are coming to life. After lunch at Sagala Lodge you continue on your journey back to Mombasa arriving at your hotel in time for dinner.

Wedding and Honeymoon in Masai Mara Kenya

Author: Esther Muthoni

If you are searching for something very exceptional and unique for your wedding in Africa, then consider a traditional Maasai marriage ceremony in the Masai Mara National Park Kenya Africa . Imagine donning traditional tribal regalia for a communally celebrated ceremony in one of the small villages near the Maasai Mara game reserve, complete with dances and chanting. African Safaris and Adventures the travel & tours experts in the East African can arrange for a luxury bush wedding that will make your wedding day an unforgettable one. For a big wedding with guests, the ceremony becomes elaborate, a goat is slaughtered and the groom is taken off to drink a locally made beer with the men. He then has to pay the bride’s father a bride price – a nominal cow (as opposed to the several cows called for by Maasai tradition). Village women, meanwhile, take the bride to get ready for the ceremony, singing to her all the while. We can arrange to have a lovely white or tan bride’s outfit made with Maasai beading on it, over which the bride wears the beaded marriage necklace and khanga. Joyful singing, chanting and dancing accompany the traditional union, as the guests join in. The groom then has to prove himself a worthy warrior and husband by participating in the jumping competition with other young morans (warriors). The traditional ceremony is a public celebration of a couple’s commitment in front of others, but it has no religious connotations and is not legally recognized under Kenyan law. Visitors can organize for a civil marriage at Kenya government offices or have the district commissioner from the nearest town carry out a formal marriage, complete with certificates. For the couple who are on honeymoon in Kenya , and wish to have an extra memory, we can arrange for a small private traditional ceremony in which the bride is adorned with colorfully patterned khanga (cloth) and a beaded marriage necklace, while the groom is dressed in a shuka (man’s cloth) and given a stick (rungu) to denote his manhood. These are bestowed by the village elder and one of his wives. For the newly wedded husband there is no getting away from the jumping competition even on this occasion as part of its Maasai wedding package , African Safaris and Adventures arranges for accommodations at luxury lodge and safari tented camp in Masai Mara the scenic reserve, as well as transportation for the guests to and from the village for the ceremony. After the ceremony the honeymoon continues within the Maasai Mara itself or extension in Mombassa, Malindi or Lamu Island. African safaris and Adventures is specialized tour operator and Safari Company one of East Africa’s premier travel companies, has been designing custom bush vacations for nearly one decade.

Top Caribbean Honeymoon Destination on Ambergris Caye Belize

Author: Jim Brown

Thinking of a Caribbean Honeymoon, then don’t make a decision before you check out Portofino near San Pedro on Ambergris Caye Belize.

Portofino could be a great honeymoon destination. It is situated north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye the largest island along the Belize Barrier Reef. Portofino sits on one of the most beautiful beaches on Ambergris Caye, and is incredibly peaceful and quiet. Having said that if you want action then San Pedro with all its shops and nightlife is only about fifteen minutes away by boat.

If what you are looking for in the way of a romantic honeymoon hotel then Portofino is exclusive, select, a bit different, and quite frankly in another class to other hotels on Ambergris Caye.

What you will get here is absolutely top notch service, with daily room service, and housekeeping. The beach is raked clean every morning, and it has drinks served to the hammocks and sunbeds as well. The grounds are immaculate with full time gardeners, and the flowers from the garden are cut daily and placed in the rooms, which is a lovely touch.

You need to be aware that Portofino is only accessible by boat, so you will be met at the airport at San Pedro and transferred to the hotel by boat, and of course this service comes at no charge at all. Similarly there is a free boat service which runs to and from San Pedro town several times a day, and if you wish to travel to San Pedro outside these times then you can book the Island Ferry which runs up and down the island every couple of hours or so.

For accommodation Portofino has eight beach cabanas all with quite superb views of the Caribbean and they get the sunrise. There are three Tree Top Suites on stilts ten feet up in the air whose views extend to the Belize Barrier Reef, sunrise and sunset

The Tree Top Suites are larger with a king size bed, as opposed to the queen size bed in the Cabanas, and the views plus the seating and reading area probably make them more ideal as a romantic honeymoon spot. Better still is the single very exceptional VIP Suite which is a massive 800 square feet and not the least of its attributes is a huge Emperor bed, with furnishings and fittings to match, so it is just the perfect romantic honeymoon spot on Ambergris Caye if not the whole of Belize.

By the way all the accommodation has air conditioning, ceiling fans, television, wireless internet, as you would expect, and they all have picture windows facing the sea.

When you are checking out your prospective honeymoon destination whether it be on Ambergris Caye in Belize, or anywhere in the Caribbean, you will want to be sure that the food on offer in the restaurant is good. At Portofino you can be reassured that Le Bistro which has been newly renovated you will not be disappointed. It is probably the most talked about restaurant in terms of food and experience on Ambergris Caye.

The food is a combination of European, Caribbean with a chef with a French and Italian background, you only have to imagine the quality. Eating out on the elevated deck overlooking the Caribbean is a romantic joy, and a wonderful spot.

There is little doubt that Portofino has the qualities to make it a perfect romantic honeymoon destination hotel spot, and deserves further investigation.
